EVO Cinemas Belterra + IMAX

December 2023: My wife and I arrived at ECO Cinemas to see Wonka in the new IMAX theater. The movie was good where before seeing it ordered Chicken Tenders. The three big chicken tenders were fulfilling and tasted good. It came with fries and was not bad either. The staff was very friendly. If you never been here then the process is you check in first at the counter, order your food, and will be delivered to your seat. We arrived about 30 minutes before the movie time. The theaters are upstairs but on the bottom you will find a game arcade to win tickets in exchange for prizes. A small room is available for meetings or parties. The IMAX theater was big with stadium seating in leather recycling chairs. A small swivel table in front of you. The screen was huge and with the IMAX Laser projector the picture was sharp with great sound.

I have recently seen a couple films here. Overall it is relatively nice spot. Both times, the place was pretty dirty and floor was sticky, but I went late in Sunday after busy weekends so I will cut them slack on the cleanliness. The food was not that great compared with Alamo drafthouse or even the burger joint in the parking lot. The beers were good though! ;-) The ordering from your seat via phone web-app is interesting but has a big bug in the sense that it is very difficult to reorder a beer as you have to pull out the credit card and try to enter all the info under the glow of the film. Basically a no go - and if you order two beers up front, one is going to be warm. It is a small picky detail I know. The location is good and they have plenty of parking. I think next time I go, I will stick with popcorn and eat at the hat creek hamburger joint in the parking lot. I do recommend EVO if you live in the Belterra area.

Had a very new and exciting experience at this evo location today with my family. I really enjoyed the unique design of this theatre, with the screens being on the second floor and having the main lobby and gaming room on the first floor. Very quick with reviving out order of food and beverages. The game was extremely fun for my daughter who won 3 giant ball from the claw machine.

Fun experience every time I went here. They have the really nice leaning back chairs and trays at every seat! The popcorn and coke is a little bit on the expensive side, but I guess it makes sense cause it's a movie theater. The staff are either really nice and friendly or the exact opposite. You just gotta get a good day! Also, Benjamin Clark, a past employee, was amazing!! He would serve people with a smile on his face, even on very busy days!!

I’ve been to this location a number of times because it is convenient to Dripping Springs. After years of going to Alamo Drafthouse, I was excited for a local dine-in theater experience. As an initial matter, the staff is professional and pleasant. I've never encountered any problems. However, Press a time or two, the theater was less than clean, but passable. Granted, I haven’t had everything on the menu, but what I have had, is not that great. Last week, I spent almost $80 on tickets and food and drinks. On the way in, I ordered a pepperoni pizza. After waiting over 30 minutes with no pizza in sight, I had to leave the movie, go downstairs and head to the counter. The bottom line is that the pizza order had fallen between the cracks, and we had to wait over 20 minutes for the worse pizza that I have ever had. It tasted like a very bad frozen pizza, and both my mother and daughter agreed. The thing is that although I received an apology, there was no offer of a credit.. Although I would typically insist, I was in a hurry to return to the movie that I was missing. On the way out, I was feeling sick and blew it off. I will return, but won't buy food again. I will eat before I go.

Went to a movie later on at night, so I would be there after they closed. Most of the workers were gone by the time my movie got out. Only the cleaning crew was there, and I'm not sure they spoke English. I only say that because it's important to this review. While my movie was still going on, a man popped in to see if the movie was still going. It was a long movie, so nothing unusual about that. I then noticed when I got done with the movie that he was no where to be found. I saw a different man cleaning the bathrooms, but not the one who came in. As I walked down the hall I noticed him and got his attention to trek him my movie was out and I was going to stop at the bathrooms and leave. It was a 2.5 hour movie! Lol. As I left from the lobby no one was on the first floor, both must have been upstairs cleaning. So I walked out the front doors and headed to my car. I had just about got there and I heard a man yelling "sir, sir!" It was that man running to me with his hand up? He found my phone and ran from the second floor out to get it to me before I left. It was a small thing, but to me a very nice gesture. My connection to the world, and I was leaving the next day for a funeral 1100 miles away. That would have put my trip off for several hours and a very very bad start. I had no way to explain the impotence of his gesture and no extra money to give him. I hope you can give him employee award, because he is the reason I will be back to watch a movie at your theater, every time I come to visit my son.
